HARTFORD S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Preliminary crash information reveals that Chad C. Bauer, a 55-year-old man from Hartford, South Dakota died Saturday May 18, 2024, in a motorcycle crash. Bauer was driving a 2007 Harley Davison motorcycle and headed southbound on Valley Road, six miles north of Montrose, South Dakota.
Bauer lost control of his motorcycle navigating a curve and entered the west ditch throwing him from the motorcycle. Bauer was not wearing a helmet and died from industries sustained in the crash.
