MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Mayor Jordan Hanson says he will bring plans and proposals to replace the seats in the Corn Palace to the City Council for their consideration and action in 2025. The initial cost was to be $750,000 but after some shopping around for new, wider seats with cup holders can be found for the Corn Palace at a cost of $450,000 for total replacement of the seating in the Corn Palace.
The final decision and the finances will be a decision of the City Council.
