PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Governor Larry Rhoden has named Iowa corrections official Nick Lamb as South Dakota’s new Secretary of Corrections. According to the South Dakota Searchlight. Lamb is a 31-year veteran of prison systems in Iowa, New Mexico, and Illinois, currently oversees nine facilities and more than 8,000 inmates in Iowa. Rhoden says Lamb’s leadership will strengthen safety and rehabilitation across the state’s prisons. Lamb replaces Kellie Wasko, who recently resigned after three and a half controversial years as secretary.
