Severe storms rolled through our region last night, producing strong winds in many areas. Tornado warnings were issued for several counties, including Davison County, Beadle County, and Jerauld County. Jim Murray of the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls says no tornadoes were confirmed. He says the NWS has not received many reports as of early Tuesday morning due to many of the storms hitting after dark.
He says we could see more severe weather this week, specifically on Thursday.
Power outages were being reported this morning in parts of Mitchell, in Loomis, and in Ethan, as well as near Plankinton, Woonsocket, and Alexandria.
