SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The Division of Criminal Investigation is looking into two separate officer-involved shootings with the same suspect. They both happened on Tuesday, one in Sioux Falls and the other in Union County. Police were trying to arrest Samir Albaidhani [[ Sha-mir All-Ba-Don-ee ]] who had multiple warrants including violating his parole. Authorities say Albaidhani fled the scene, stole a vehicle, and made his way onto the highway. The South Dakota Highway Patrol intercepted him on I-29, where there was another shooting. Both the officer and the suspect are in stable condition. Officials said this is the first time since the 1980s that a Sioux Falls police officer has been shot.
