MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The West Nile Virus has been detected in mosquito populations in three South Dakota counties, but so far, there aren’t any human infections being reported. Sioux Falls Public Health Director Joe Kippley says city crews have found the virus in mosquito swarms in the city. (:18) Keloland news reports West Nile has been found in mosquito swarms in Brown, Minnehaha and Lincoln counties. The South Dakota Health Department says the risk of catching West Nile virus is moderate.
