SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Top state and local officials gathered at the Washington Pavilion Tuesday morning, for a public safety forum related to a new men’s prison. The Project Prison Reset task force unanimously endorsed a plan to spend up to 650-million dollars to build a new men’s penitentiary in the city. That will nearly double the city’s current prison population. Attorney General Marty Jackley says that it would most likely lead to increased crime.
