Candidates for Mitchell School Board and the Mitchell City Council can now take out petitions to run for office. Mitchell City Council petitions are available at City Hall. Seats are up for election in each ward in the city of Mitchell. Mitchell School Board petitions are available at the Mitchell School District Business Office. One seat, currently held by Matthew Christiansen, is up for election. Christiansen has turned in a signed petition to run for re-election. All signed petitions to run must be returned by 5 PM on Tuesday, March 28th.  The city/school board election is set for Tuesday, June 6th.
