SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The Project Prison Reset task force is meeting today to narrow down options for a new men’s prison site.  Two sites in northeast Sioux Falls are now leading the discussion, one on North Bahnson Avenue and another on Benson Road.  Representative Greg Jamison recently toured both locations with city leaders and says they’re far more promising than earlier picks like Mitchell or Worthing, which faced community backlash.  Jamison says keeping the prison in Sioux Falls helps retain staff and avoid upsetting new neighborhoods.  The task force will review 14 total site options today.  Jamison hopes the meeting ends with a plan they can take to the legislature.
