MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — The Reliance Area Community Development (RACD) is inviting the public to its 31st Annual Dinner Theater on Friday, Feb. 6, and Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Legion Hall in Reliance.

This year’s production is Last Gasp at the Last Gulp, a comedy by playwright Craig Sodaro. Set in the late 1800s during the settlement era, the show is billed as a Wild West-style mystery featuring humor, colorful characters and a whodunit storyline.

The cast includes Doc Robbins, described as a domineering dentist; Bonnie Vivant, who dreams of running a refined restaurant; and three longtime prospectors known as Crusty, Dusty and Musty. Saloon gals and surprise characters round out the lineup as the story builds to the central question: Who ends up dead — and who did it?

Doors open at 6 p.m., with hors d’oeuvres served upon arrival. A roast beef dinner with dessert will follow, then the performance.

Tickets are limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. For tickets, contact Gayle Mohr at 605-730-1462 or Jeff Tveit at 605-730-0553. Venmo payments are also accepted at @RACDs.

The production is presented by special arrangement with Eldridge Publishing Company and supported through Thrivent Action Teams.
