A longtime downtown Mitchell building will likely be getting a facelift. The City Planning Commission approved a remodeling plan for the former Enchanted World Doll Museum building, located at 615 North Main Street. The plan includes removing the castle look and towers from the top, installing large windows in the front and back and a new door in the front, and painting the exterior. Jeremy Gunkel of Mitchell is in the process of purchasing the building, which most recently housed a religious gift shop. He says it will be a year-round business, but did not elaborate when asked what his plans for the building are. Gunkel says they plan to close the sale on the building in April.
