PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Representative Dusty Johnson is speaking out on federal cuts from DOGE, tariffs, and his plans for next year.  On Tuesday, Johnson spoke at a tourism coalition in Sioux Falls. The Republican shared concerns about there being negative impacts from DOGE on the South Dakota tourism industry. Johnson said he’s pushed back on some federal cuts and also made it clear that he doesn’t support high tariffs as a long-term strategy. Meanwhile, Johnson did not give any indication whether or not he will give up his seat in Congress and run for South Dakota Governor next year. He says it’s something he’s considered, but he’s focused on his day job. For more Government stories from MitchellNow.com, Click Here.
