Ridgeview on Foster Streets Will Be Handled By City

The Mitchell City Council has approved an agreement with Mitchell Area Housing Inc. (MAHI) for street improvements at the Ridgeview on Foster development, at no cost to the city. MAHI will handle road grading, paving, and sewer installation prior to residents moving in. Additionally, the company will reimburse the city nearly $200,000 for upgrading a sewage lift station.

MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The Mitchell City Council approved an agreement with Mitchell Area Housing Inc. (MAHI) for street improvements at the Ridgeview on Foster development, at no cost to the city. The company will handle road grading, paving, and sewer installation before residents move in. They will also reimburse the city just under 200 hundred thousand dollars for upgrading a sewage lift station. The development, which received a million dollar infrastructure grant, will have 68 lots, including 15 for Mitchell Technical College’s carpentry program. Prices for the remaining homes will range from $250,000 to $300,000, with some ready by fall, depending on demand.
