Spring officially begins this coming weekend…and with it – the “other” season…road construction. It will be a big road construction year in Sioux Falls, especially on the edges of the city. The largest project is at Arrowhead and Veterans Parkways on the city’s east side. City engineer Tony Ondricek (AHN-dreh-check) says be prepared if that’s part of your daily commute. (:13) There are a half-dozen major road construction projects in the city starting this year…and they’re all two-year projects. City crews will also resurface over two-hundred blocks of neighborhood streets, and apply a slurry seal to more than 500 blocks of city streets this year. You can stay up to date on the construction projects that might affect you at siouxfalls.org/construction.
