MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) You can expect to see construction on Highway 37 in Mitchell starting this spring, with work being done from Main Street to National Guard Road. The project will include regrading the road with new concrete and asphalt, removing and rebuilding the bridge over the Lake Mitchell spillway, and adding a shared-use path for pedestrians and cyclists. Construction on this stretch begins on Monday. Look for traffic to be shifted to the northbound lanes and speed limits reduced to 30 mph. Delays and a 12-foot width restriction are expected. More work on the southern part of the project is scheduled for March 31st to November 14th, weather permitting.
