MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — Tuesday is the state’s first-ever gubernatorial runoff election.

The winner between Toby Doeden and incumbent Governor Larry Rhoden will represent the GOP on the ballot in November. The pair were the top two vote getters in June’s primary, which saw no candidate reach the minimum 35% threshold to advance. Absentee and mail-in voting has been underway for weeks, but for those looking to vote in person, they may find they’ll be casting a ballot at a different place than normal.

For Davison County, Precinct 1 voters must head to the Ethan Finance Office at 201 W. Main Street in Ethan. Precinct 2 will step into the voting booth at the Mt. Vernon Senior Center at 101 N. Main Street. All other precincts are being directed to the Davison County Fairgrounds at 3200 W. Havens Avenue.

Hanson County will have precincts based out of the Emery Fire Hall (1), Alexandria City Hall (2), Fulton Community Hall (3 and 4), and the Hanson County building in Alexandria on 5th Street (5).
