MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Mitchell’s mayoral race is now up to three candidates. Terry Sabers turned in his petition to run yesterday. He will face Mayor Bob Everson and challenger Jordan Hanson in the June 4th election.
In the city council races, Sarah Deakins is running for the seat in Ward 1 currently held by Dan Sabers. Sabers has yet to turn in a petition for re-election. Incumbent Kevin McCardle is running for re-election in Ward 2 with no challenger thus far. Incumbent Jeff Smith is running in Ward 4 and faces challenger Don Everson.
Petitions for mayor and city council can be picked up at the City Finance Office at City Hall in downtown Mitchell.
