PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) It’s a case of the elderly scamming the elderly. A couple from Texas, 82-year-old Richard Spry, and 75-year-old Susan Spry will be sentenced tomorrow for stealing over a half-million dollars from South Dakotans.
Attorney General Marty Jackley says the state is on the lookout for elder abuse and is ready to help. The Sprys face up to 26 years in prison after being convicted of the crime earlier this year.
