South Dakota reported 733 new COVID-19 cases in the past week.  The Department of Health says 90 cases per day were reported since last Wednesday, which is an increase of 73% from the 52 cases per day reported during the previous week.  There are 1,149 active cases in the state with 75 hospitalizations from the virus.  One death was reported.  Davison County’s active case total increase slightly with 13 active cases.  The state did cross the 60 percent threshold for residents who have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccination.  COVID-19 numbers are updated weekly on Wednesdays in South Dakota.
