PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) May was Beef Month, and the South Dakota Beef Industry Council (SDBIC) took advantage of the perfect time to introduce the newest SDBIC campaign the “So Dak Best Burger” contest. This contest was held to highlight South Dakota restaurants and the beef farmers and ranchers who work hard to produce high quality beef. It was also a great opportunity for beef consumers to nominate their favorite So Dak restaurant and burger.
We asked you to nominate your favorite beef burger from any restaurant in South Dakota for their chance to be named So Dak’s Best Burger. Nominations were accepted May 1, 2024, to June 16, 2024, with the top five nominees announced in June. Following anonymous judging, the SDBIC is thrilled to announce the winner.
The 2024 So Dak Best Burger is the Angry Neighbor Burger at NEIGHBOR’S GRUB and PUB in Summerset, South Dakota.
Neighbor’s Grub and Pub is a family-owned business, proudly crafting hand-pattied burgers for their friends and neighbors. Their delicious Angry Neighbor Burger is a half-pound hand-pattied burger topped with pepper jack cheese, grilled onions, hatch green chilis and jalapeños. Finished with a house-made Angry Neighbor Sauce.
