(MitchellNow) The SDSU softball team was impressive in their first-ever NCAA tournament game Friday afternoon. The Lady Jacks beat Stanford 7-1 at the Fayetteville regional, led by Cylie Halverson’s 2 homeruns and 5 RBIs. Grace Glanzer allowed just 3 hits on the mound for SDSU, who’ll play host-team Arkansas at 1pm Saturday.
The Augustana softball team beat Minnesota State – Mankato, 2-1 Friday to advance to the NAA Division 2 Central Region championship game. The defending champs can get back to the World Series with another win over Minnesota State – Mankato Saturday, a matchup set for Noon.
