Saturday marks the debut of a new event called Second Saturdays that will take place on the second Saturday of every month this summer in downtown Mitchell. Mitchell Main Street and Beyond’s Ashley Endres says it is a low-key extension of the First Fridays event.
There will be local artists, community members, and students doing sidewalk chalk up and down Main Street.
Activities will be held at the 3rd and Main Park. There will be a rock hunt up and down Main Street along with cool treats like lemonade and popsicles.
Main Street businesses will also have special deals, promotions, and giveaways.
It is an opportunity for people to shop, eat, and enjoy downtown Mitchell.
Second Saturdays begins at 10 AM and will be held on the second Saturdays in June, July, and August.
