Pierre, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) – South Dakota’s General Election was held Tuesday, November 5, 2024. According to the unofficial results, statewide voter turnout was over 69%, with 436,418 ballots cast. Official results will be available at the conclusion of the election returns canvass to be performed by the State Canvassing Board on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
Secretary of State Monae L. Johnson stated: “I would like to thank all of the voters that participated in this election. In addition, I would like to thank all of the hard-working election officials and poll workers who made it possible for us to have a free, fair, and secure election for all South Dakotans.”
