PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Senator Mike Rounds is signaling his support to keep tax cuts signed by President Trump in place permanently. Provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs act, known as ‘Trump Tax Cuts,’ are set to expire at the end of this year. Extending the tax cuts is part of the current budget negotiations in Congress. Senator Rounds states that if tax cuts are allowed to expire, the average South Dakota family could face an additional cost of approximately $2,500.
