SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota Senator and Senate Majority Leader John Thune spoke yesterday as the federal government entered a shutdown. Thune blamed Democrats’ far-left base for demanding a showdown, while Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called it a Republican shutdown. Thune told Bret Baier of Fox News last night.
