PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) In a speech on the US Senate floor, John Thune cited statistics showing that more than 10 million illegal immigrants have entered the country since Joe Biden became president. Thune says that even when an asylum seeker gets a court date to determine if that person should stay in the United States, that court date can be as long as ten years in the future. Thune doesn’t think much of that system or the ability to hold immigrants accountable.
Senator Thune advocates tougher action on the border and a return to Trump Administration immigration policies.
