SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Young people interested in attending one of the Service Academies should attend Senator Mike Rounds’ Academy Day in Sioux Falls on Saturday April 27^th from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. The event will be held in the downtown Sioux Falls library in meeting room A at 200 North Dakota Avenue in Sioux Falls.

Applications for the 2025-26 freshman class are due by October 1, 2024. Congressional nominations are one of the requirements for acceptance to a military academy. Nominations are available for the following institutions: the United States Air Force Academy, the United States Military Academy at West Point, the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis and the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
