SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Sioux Falls City Councilors are weighing the pros and cons of holding future city elections in June or November. Those are the choices included in a new state law adopted this year. Council Chair Rich Merkouris says a June election would put new councilors and mayors to work right away. November elections draw higher voter turnout but run the risk of placing potential runoff elections in the middle of the Thanksgiving holiday.
