A Sioux Falls man is facing charges after attempting to pass a counterfeit $50 bill. Police say Scott Robertson has been charged with multiple offenses, including forgery. Authorities responded to a report of a customer trying to use fake money in Watertown last week. Following an investigation, officers identified Robertson as the suspect. He was arrested Friday at a motel. More counterfeit bills were found when police searched his room, along with two printers, fine watermarked paper and other related items.

Another person has been arrested in connection with a downtown Sioux Falls assault that left a man in critical condition. Authorities said Jenny Hill was arrested on Friday afternoon. Police say Hill was part of a group that reportedly attacked a man Thursday near the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House. The victim was found unconscious. Just hours after the assault, Darrin Sazue was arrested. According to police, Sazue and Hill are the primary suspects in the case.

A Sioux Falls man will spend decades behind bars after being convicted of raping two young girls. This week a judge sentenced Diego Alonzo-Alonzo to 60 years in prison. Keloland.com reports the crimes happened over the course of several years. One of the victims finally told a teacher, who then told police. In September, a jury in Minnehaha County convicted Alonzo-Alonzo of 8 counts of first degree rape.
