SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken says the city is facing a “major recalibration” of its budget in response to statewide property tax relief efforts approved earlier this year. Over the next three years, the city plans to cut $8 to $10 million in services. That means slower snow removal, reduced hours at Siouxland Libraries and outdoor pools, and some staffing reductions. TenHaken says residents will feel the changes, and surrounding communities may be impacted even more. More details are expected to come out during upcoming budget hearings.
