FLANDREAU, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) A Sioux Falls man facing a first-degree murder charge in the death of a Moody County officer is scheduled to appear in court today.  40-year old Joseph Hoek is also charged with aggravated eluding in the death of Moody County Chief Deputy Sheriff Ken Prorok.  Prorok was allegedly run over by Hoek as he was fleeing during a high-speed vehicle pursuit on February 2nd.  South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley is prosecuting the case and is expected to announce whether the state will seek the death penalty.  Hoek, who is set to appear in court at 11 AM at the Moody County Courthouse in Flandreau, has pleaded not guilty.
