SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) There are new developments in a disturbing animal abuse case that’s been unfolding over the past two years. Cory Martinson, of Sioux Falls, is back in jail this time accused of killing kittens. Martinson was already on probation for a previous case where he admitted to killing cats in Brookings. He pleaded guilty back in February 2024 and got a suspended sentence. This time, court documents show he violated that probation just a few months later. According to the documents, Martinson had been taking care of a cat and several kittens for a homeless woman in Sioux Falls. When someone later asked what happened to the animals, he admitted to killing four of the kittens. This week, a judge in Brookings County revoked his suspended sentence. Martinson is now behind bars and waiting for his next court appearance in Minnehaha County. For more crime stories from MitchellNow.com, click here.
