Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken announced his run for a second term yesterday afternoon under the newly-refurbished 8th Street bridge.

He says during his first term, there has been increased funding for roads and infrastructure improvements, and he wants to continue to make Sioux Falls an “investable” city, where people and companies want to put their money and their lives. TenHaken says he hopes to improve housing affordability and availability if he is reelected to a second term.

The mayor was joined by his wife Jill and their three school-aged children for the announcement.

The city election in Sioux Falls is next April.
