SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) No arrests, but Sioux Falls police are investigating a pair of shooting incidents.  One took place Sunday evening in an apartment on North Prairie Avenue.  A man pulled a gun and shot himself in the leg accidentally, but says he felt threatened and shot a second man in the leg.

The other shooting was at about one this morning on West Fairfax.  Someone fired a shot at a home, and a woman inside was struck by the bullet.

Information officer Sam Clemens says police are asking for help in identifying a suspect.  No arrests have been made in either case…and none of the injuries were life-threatening.

In another shooting the question of self-defense is still unresolved in a shooting that left two men dead in Sioux Falls last week.  A motorcyclist shot and killed a father and son, who had begun to swing baseball bats at his head.

Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says the motorcyclist cooperated with the investigation.  The States’ Attorneys’ Office will make the final determination if the actions of the motorcyclist conform to South Dakota law.  The self-defense law was approved by the South Dakota Legislature in 2021.
