A 35-year-old Sioux Falls woman has reportedly died after being exposed to the bitter cold. Sioux Falls Police say Cassandra Shields’ body was found Sunday night along a low-maintenance road near Family Park. On Sunday, temperatures in Sioux Falls were well below zero, and even though Shields was wearing winter gear, it wasn’t enough to survive the extreme cold. Authorities say they believe her body had been there since Sunday morning, and that she was last seen on Friday. Now, the police  are asking anyone who might know more about her whereabouts over the weekend to get in touch. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sioux Falls Police Department.
