PIERRE S.D. (Mitchell Now) The South Dakota Department of Social Services (DSS) has paused implementation of its plan to provide full benefits to SNAP recipients by November 10. The pause results from a United States Supreme Court’s “administrative stay” of a lower court’s ruling that was issued late Friday evening.

DSS awaits instructions from Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) before resuming its implementation. The Department will provide updates as it receives them.
