Governor Noem will have three cabinet positions to fill with the retirement of Laurie Gill as Department of Social Services Secretary.  Gill made the announcement on Thursday, effective January 8th.  Gill has been social services secretary since July 2019.  She has worked in several positions in state government and served as mayor of Pierre for three terms.  Department of Education Secretary Tiffany Sanderson and Department of Health Secretary Joan Adam also recently announced they would be leaving their positions.
