MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — FFA chapters across South Dakota will celebrate National FFA Week from Feb. 21-28, 2026, recognizing the student-led organization’s traditions and its future in agriculture and leadership development. (National FFA Week)
The South Dakota FFA Association includes 6,515 agricultural education students in 112 chapters statewide, according to the organization’s state website.
Nationally, the National FFA Organization reports 1,042,245 student members in 9,407 chapters across all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
FFA traces its roots to 1928, when the Future Farmers of America was founded, making 2026 the organization’s 98th year.
