PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota has a new Lt Governor. Tony Venhuizen represented District 13 in the State House of Representatives, where he served as vice chair of the House Appropriations Committee. Venhuizen grew up in Armour, and now lives in Sioux Falls. He’s very familiar with the Governor’s office and how it works, having served three governors. He first came to the State Capitol to work for Governor Mike Rounds. He then served in the Dennis Daugaard administration, eventually becoming chief of staff. And would later serve as chief of staff for Governor Kristi Noem for three years.
