PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota legislators will have their hands full considering property tax relief measures during their next session.  A study committee approved more than two dozen proposals for legislative action.  Among them – measures to freeze property taxes for seniors and veterans.  Representative Scott Odenbach also pushed for a limit on government spending, and a return to a former legislative pledge on lottery proceeds. Home values statewide have increased more than 40 percent since 2019.  The Legislative session begins January 13th.
