MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota residents are encouraged to clear out their medicine cabinets and participate this Saturday in National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. The statewide initiative, supported by the Department of Social Services, the Board of Pharmacy, and law enforcement, offers a safe, anonymous way to dispose of unused or expired medications and prevent misuse. Since 2016, more than 113,000 pounds of medications have been collected. For year-round drop-off sites, or to learn about other methods of medicine storage or disposal, visit letsbeclearsd.com.
