PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota will get $1.5 million as part of a new national opioid settlement. Attorney General Marty Jackley says eight drug companies have agreed to a $720 million deal over their role in the opioid crisis. Local governments still need to sign on before the agreement is finalized. The money will go into a national fund to support outreach, treatment, and prevention efforts across the state.
