MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota is toasting the nation’s upcoming 250th birthday with a commemorative brew. The new beer, called Dakota Liberty, was unveiled over the weekend at the State Fair in Huron, followed by a sampling event at the nearby Tap Haus. A share of the proceeds will benefit the state’s America 250th Commission, which is planning celebrations and historic projects leading up to the milestone anniversary. South Dakota is raising a glass to America’s 250th birthday with a new commemorative beer. “Dakota Liberty” was unveiled at the State Fair in Huron and later featured at a Tap Haus sampling event. A portion of proceeds will support the South Dakota America 250th Commission, which is organizing statewide celebrations, heritage projects, and historic events leading up to the nation’s semiquincentennial.
