South Dakota veteran heads to the Super Bowl

DELL RAPIDS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) One South Dakota veteran and her daughter are headed to the Super Bowl. Staff Sergeant Kim Hubers, an Army National Guard veteran from Dell Rapids, got the news from Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson that she was being recognized for her service with a paid trip to New Orleans. Jefferson teamed up with USAA, Disabled American Veterans and Visa to make the trip happen. Hubers was injured in 2003 while serving in Iraq. She has since gone on to work with the DAV and help several disabled veterans in need. Hubers and her daughter have plans to meet Jefferson in person at the Super Bowl on Sunday.
