Mitchell

The Kernel boys and girls basketball teams will be on the road to Yankton tonight. The boys and girls JV will play at 3:30pm, sophomores at 4:45pm and the freshman boys also play at 4:45pm. The varsity teams will get going at 6pm & 7:30pm.

Both wrestling teams return to the mats again for a dual that was postponed back in mid-December. The varsity will travel to Huron to face the Tigers in the Huron Arena. The boys and the girls will both start at 5pm.

For the Marlins hockey teams, they get back to the ice tomorrow as the girls host Oahe with action beginning at 4pm in the Mitchell Activities Center in the Toshiba Rink. The boys will play on tomorrow as well and on the road when they take on Sioux Falls-West.

Dakota Wesleyan

The women’s wrestling team will be in action this Sunday. They will have competition on the road as they prepare to face both Dickinson State and Jamestown. They’ll hit the mats at 4pm.

Back for the first time since Dec. 14 are both of your Tiger track & field teams. They’ll return to action and head to Sioux Center, Iowa to face the Dordt Defenders and compete in the Dordt Indoor Open. Start time will be at 10:30am for both the men and the women in the Dordt Recreation Center.

Both Tiger basketball teams will return home tomorrow to play in the World’s Only Corn Palace. It’ll be a doubleheader as the No. 17 ranked Tiger women will get things started against Hastings beginning at 2pm. Then the Tiger men will follow and play at 3:45pm.

NBA

Seven NBA games tonight and just one will be available on National TV. Find the rest on NBA League Pass. It begins with three 6pm starts. The Golden State Warriors at the Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks at the Orlando Magic and the New Orleans Pelicans at the Philadelphia 76ers. Then a pair of 6:30pm games as the Sacramento Kings visit the Boston Celtics and the Oklahoma City Thunder travel to face the New York Knicks on NBATV. The Washington Wizards will be at the Chicago Bulls playing at 7pm. Ending the night will be the Brooklyn Nets at the Denver Nuggets at 8pm.

NFL

NFL Playoffs begin tomorrow afternoon with the AFC Wild Card. Kicking it off will be the No. 5 seed Los Angeles Chargers at the Houston Texans at 3:30pm on CBS/Paramount+ and will be played in NRG Stadium in Houston, TX. Following that game is the No. 6 seed Pittsburgh Steelers at the No. 3 seed Baltimore Ravens at 7pm on Prime Video and played at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, MD. The game between the No. 5 seed Minnesota Vikings that was to be played this Monday night against the No. 4 seed Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA on ABC/ESPN has been moved to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ and will be played that same night at 7pm.
