Mitchell Gymnastics

The Kernel gymnastics team will compete tonight when they host O’Gorman. They’ll face the Knights in Mitchell in a Varsity Dual at the Mitchell high school at 6pm in the main gym. 

Mitchell Wrestling

The Kernel wrestling teams are out west this weekend for a varsity tournament. Both the boys and the girls will be out in Rapid City at Summit Arena at The Monument against Rapid City Central. The action begins at Noon today for both teams and at 8am tomorrow.

DWU Track & Field

The Tiger track & field teams are both competing over the weekend. They will host the DWU Snow Tiger Open in Mitchell. Both the men and the women’s teams will get started at 11am. 

DWU Basketball

The No. 14 Tiger women’s basketball team (6-4) will be playing by themselves at home tomorrow afternoon. They’ll be in the World’s Only Corn Palace hosting the College of Saint Mary Flames (3-10). Tipoff is set for 2pm. 

SDSU Basketball

The Jackrabbit men (6-5) will play tonight in an exhibition against the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers (5-7) at 7pm at First Bank & Trust Arena in Brookings, SD. The game will air on Midco Sports+. 

NFL

It was Thursday Night Football last night on Prime Video between the Atlanta Falcons (4-9) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This game was a shootout between the two teams, and it ended in a walk-off field goal by Atlanta to get the win, 29-28. Kyle Pitts Sr had a big night for the Falcons and finished with 11 receptions for 166 yards receiving and caught three touchdowns. The Minnesota Vikings (5-8) will play again this weekend and this time on Sunday Night Football. They’ll be on the road facing the Dallas Cowboys (6-6-1) at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. It will air on NBC/Peacock, and kickoff is at 7:20pm. 

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves (15-9) are playing tonight on the road when they take on the Golden State Warriors (13-12). It’ll be at the Oracle Performance Center at 9pm airing on NBATV.
