Mitchell Tennis

The Mitchell Kernels girls tennis team will continue in their Varsity Jamboree today. They will face Sioux Falls Christian again at Tomar Park early this morning.

Mitchell Soccer

The Kernels soccer teams begin their season today. Both the girls and boys teams will be in action and it’ll be a doubleheader today and tomorrow. It starts today against Harrisburg with the girls playing first at 4pm and the boys at 6pm. Games will be played at Harrisburg Tiger Stadium. Tomorrow’s games will be back here in Mitchell against Tea Area.

DWU Volleyball

The Tiger volleyball team opens their season on the road tomorrow. They’ll compete in the VCSU Triangular tomorrow when they face Valley City State at 11am and then Dickinson State at 3pm in Graichen Gymnasium.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins dropped their opening game of their new series against the Detroit Tigers last night. It was a 4-3 win for Detroit in a game that saw 11 innings and the Tigers overcome a three-run deficit in the game. The two teams play again tonight at 7:10pm.

WNBA

The Minnesota Lynx will return to the court tomorrow and compete in the lone game on the slate. They are set to face the New York Liberty at 2pm on CBS.

NFL

The Minnesota Vikings will compete in their second preseason game tomorrow afternoon. They will host the New England Patriots at 12:10pm.
