The Lady Kernels will have State Tournament competition today and tomorrow in Sioux Falls. They will compete at the Sioux Falls Prairie Green Golf Course at 9am on both days.
Amateur Baseball
The Mitchell Aces saw action yesterday afternoon on the road. They gave them a run for their money, but lost to the Winner/Colome Pheasants, 10-8. Next, they’ll take on the Dell Rapids Mudcats on Thursday.
MLB
The Minnesota Twins took on the Seattle Mariners yesterday. It was a low scoring affair, and the Mariners came out on top, 2-1. The Twins begin a new series tonight on the road at the Oakland Athletics at 9:05pm.
WNBA
There were four games going on last night. The New York Liberty dismantled the Connecticut Sun, 100-52, and the Phoenix Mercury beat the Los Angeles Sparks, 85-80. The day ended with the Las Vegas Aces taking down the Seattle Storm, 75-70 and the Minnesota Lynx getting the win, 86-75 over the Golden State Valkyries. Tomorrow will be a three-game slate. The Washington Mystics will be at the Indiana Fever at 6pm on NBATV. At 7pm, the Phoenix Mercury will visit the Lynx on ESPN3, and then the Dallas Wings travel to play the Storm at 8:30pm on ESPN.

The NBA Finals will begin this Thursday. It’ll be the No. 4 seed Indiana Pacers at the No. 1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder at 7:30pm on ABC. The winner of this series will win the franchise’s first ever NBA Championship.
