Mitchell Golf
The Kernel boys golf team begins their season today. They will face Rapid City in a Varsity Invitational at Spearfish Canyon Golf Course at 1pm MT/2pm CT. Tomorrow the boys will compete again and face Rapid City at Meadowbrook Golf Course at 8am MT/9am CT.
Mitchell Tennis
The Kernel girls tennis team is back in action today. They will compete in a Varsity Triangular at Sioux Falls Jefferson High School at 10am.
Mitchell Soccer
The Kernel girls soccer team is slated to play again tomorrow. They’ll face Sioux Falls Christian at Joe Quintal Field in Mitchell at 4pm.
MLB
The Minnesota Twins had their way with the Detroit Tigers in their matchup yesterday. The Twins came out on top, 8-1, in part due to Brooks Lee’s first grand slam that capped a six-run third inning and propelled the team to a win. Minnesota will host the Oakland Athletics tomorrow at 6:40pm after a day off today.
WNBA
The Minnesota Lynx will hit the road tomorrow for yet another game against the New York Liberty. They will play at 6pm tomorrow on NBATV. Minnesota owns the season series, 3-0.
