Mitchell Volleyball
The No. 5 Kernel volleyball team will be in action tonight against Sioux Falls Washington here in Mitchell at the MHS gyms. JV and freshman play at 4:30pm, sophomores at 5:30pm and varsity at 6:30pm.
DWU Volleyball
The (RV) Tiger volleyball team took on the Dordt Defenders on the road last night. They took care of business against the Defenders and put them away in straight sets, 3-0. DWU is now 16-10 overall.
DWU Soccer
The Tiger soccer teams played against the Morningside Mustangs last night in Mitchell. It was 0-0 tie for the women in their matchup, and the men came away with a 3-0 win.
NFL
Thursday Night Football on Prime Video is happening tonight to begin week 9. You’ll have the Baltimore Ravens (2-5) at the Miami Dolphins (2-6) at Hard Rock Stadium at 7:15pm. Two-time MVP Lamar Jackson will make his return to the field tomorrow for Baltimore.
MLB
The World Series Game 5 was played last night between the No. 1 seed Toronto Blue Jays and the No. 3 seed Los Angeles Dodgers. It was pure dominance for the Blue Jays as they won it, 6-1. They now lead the series, 3-2. Game 6 is tonight at 7pm on FOX.
NBA
The Minnesota Timberwolves faced the Los Angeles Lakers last night on the road. Minnesota was down by as many as 20 points and got themselves all the way back and had a one-point lead in the final seconds. They were unable to close it out though due to a game-winning floater from Austin Reaves to seal the victory for LA, 116-115.
